Job Summary
The Operations Specialist manages behind-the-scenes service activities to ensure smooth operations and strong service outcomes. This role supports office workflow, handles underwriting-related questions, and coordinates task delegation to ensure timely completion. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, demonstrates strong critical thinking, pays close attention to fine details, and effectively manages high-pressure situations while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate behind-the-scenes operational service activities to support daily business needs.
- Maintain and optimize office workflow to ensure tasks move efficiently through the proper channels.
- Address underwriting questions by researching, interpreting requirements, and providing accurate support to internal and/or external stakeholders.
- Prioritize incoming requests and rapidly delegate task assignments based on urgency, complexity, and deadlines.
- Monitor ongoing work progress and ensure follow-through on delegated tasks.
- Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot issues, identify gaps in processes, and propose improvements.
- Follow and improve standardized processes to ensure consistency, compliance, and quality outcomes.
- Maintain high attention to detail in documentation, data handling, and communication.
- Collaborate with relevant teams (e.g., underwriting, customer service, claims, operations, sales) to ensure coordinated execution.
- Assist with process documentation, reporting, and workflow improvements as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations support, underwriting support, or a similar role.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with office tools and systems (e.g., Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, ticketing or workflow tools).
Compensation $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
